Step-by-Step Operation
- A fire starts in the protected area.
- Heat-sensitive fusible link detectors trigger the system.
- Appliance energy sources are automatically shut off via fuel-specific accessory equipment.
- The fire extinguishing agent is discharged into the plenum, duct, and onto cooking appliances.
- The agent combines with hot grease to form a sealing foam, temporarily suppressing flammable vapors and helping prevent re-ignition.
- Water discharges through the same piping, reinforcing the foam layer and accelerating grease and appliance cooling.
