Our Factory-Certified CaptiveAire® Services Include:

WHY FACTORY CERTIFICATION MATTERS

Not All Kitchen Hood Inspections Are Equal

CaptiveAire® systems are not interchangeable with Ansul®, Amerex®, or other suppression brands. Each requires specific knowledge of agent delivery, nozzle placement, and control integration.

01

System-Specific Experience

Our technicians have trained directly with CaptiveAire® on the detection, suppression, monitoring, and control components used in TANK and CORE systems.

02

Efficient Troubleshooting

Familiarity with CaptiveAire® equipment helps our technicians identify problems efficiently, reduce unnecessary return visits, and limit disruption to kitchen operations.

03

Clearer Inspection Results

System-specific knowledge supports more complete inspections, clearer deficiency reporting, and documentation your facility team can use to plan and manage corrective work.

MORE ABOUT CAPTIVEAIRE®

The System Running Many Modern Commercial Kitchens

CaptiveAire® is one of the nation’s leading manufacturer of commercial kitchen ventilation systems and has become one of the most widely installed fire suppression platform in restaurants across North America. If your kitchen was built or renovated after 2020, there’s a decent chance it’s running a CaptiveAire® system.

The problem? Not every fire protection company is trained to work on them. CaptiveAire® systems require factory-specific knowledge that goes beyond a standard kitchen hood inspection.

Without a Factory Certified Technician, you risk improper service, voided warranties, and compliance gaps that put your business at risk.

Integrity Fire Safety Services carries the factory certification to inspect, test, install, and service CaptiveAire® TANK and CORE suppression systems across Colorado’s Front Range.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions About Our CaptiveAire® Service

CaptiveAire® makes fire suppression systems for commercial kitchens. They make two systems: TANK and CORE. TANK uses pressurized wet chemical agent to suppress fires. CORE uses water with a surfactant to suppress fires and clean the hood system. Many kitchens built or renovated after 2020 have a CaptiveAire® system installed.

A Factory Certified Technician completed hands-on training at a CaptiveAire® facility. CaptiveAire® trains technicians on TANK and CORE systems at eight locations, including Denver. Only Factory Certified Technicians can inspect, test, install, and repair these systems to manufacturer standards.

CaptiveAire® systems use electronic detection and supervised control circuits. This is different from Ansul, Amerex, and other brands that use fusible links. A technician without factory training can miss system-specific requirements for nozzle placement, agent delivery, and control wiring. This can void your warranty and create compliance gaps during AHJ inspections.

NFPA 96 and NFPA 17A require inspection of commercial kitchen fire suppression systems every six months. This applies to both TANK and CORE systems. A Factory Certified Technician makes sure your documentation meets manufacturer and code requirements.

TANK is a pre-engineered wet chemical system. It uses pressurized steel cylinders filled with liquid fire suppressant. TANK protects hoods, ducts, plenums, and cooking appliances.

CORE is a water-based system connected to your building water supply. CORE uses electronic detection and injects a surfactant into the water stream to suppress fires. CORE also has a self-cleaning cycle that washes the hood plenum and ductwork daily. CORE is the only CaptiveAire® system approved for solid fuel cooking.

Yes. Our Factory Certified Technicians install and commission both TANK and CORE systems. We also do semi-annual inspection, testing, troubleshooting, and repair across Colorado's Front Range.

Any commercial kitchen with a CaptiveAire® hood and suppression system. This includes restaurant chains, independent restaurants, hotel kitchens, gas station food service, ghost kitchens, and commissary facilities.
